About Mr. Gumble

Adam J. Gumble is a member of the instrumental music faculty in the Quakertown Community School District. As the instrumental music director at both the Quakertown Freshman Center and Tohickon Valley Elementary School, Mr. Gumble holds a unique position within the department as one who educates instrumentalists at both the elementary and secondary level. In addition, Mr. Gumble directs the award-winning Quakertown Community High School "Panther" Marching Band as well as the award-winning Quakertown Community High School Jazz Lab Band. Mr. Gumble is also the director of the Quakertown Community High School Concert Band, an ensemble that has received consistent Superior ratings at concert festivals under his guidance.

In August of 2007, Mr. Gumble graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University with an MM: Music Education. In May of 2005, Mr. Gumble graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BM: Music Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.


Mr. Gumble is currently serving in his seventh year as an educator in the QCSD. Starting as a visual technician in 2001, Mr. Gumble continued to assist with the implementation of various contemporary marching and warm-up techniques through the 2003 season. In 2004, Mr. Gumble assumed the position of Assistant Marching Band Director, helping to lead the group to a second consecutive Top Five finish at the Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Championships. At West Chester University, Mr. Gumble was selected as Student Coordinator of the "Golden Rams" Marching Band in 2003 and 2004.



While at West Chester, Mr. Gumble student taught K-3 General Music in the Brandywine School District (Wilmington, DE) and Middle School Instrumental Music in the Lampeter-Strasburg School District (Lampeter, PA). Mr. Gumble also completed field teaching experiences in the Great Valley (Malvern, PA) and Colonial (Whitemarsh, PA) School Districts.



As a brass instructor, Mr. Gumble has served as a clinician at various high schools throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. As a private brass teacher, Mr. Gumble has seen many of his students blossom into exceptional musicians who have been selected to perform at the District, Region, and All-State levels.

Mr. Gumble serves as a copyist and co-arranger for Pocono Marching Concepts, arranging musical productions for high school and collegiate marching ensembles across the country. Mr. Gumble is also an active web developer and graphic designer, developing sites for various companies and interests for the past decade.

Mr. Gumble is a member of the Music Educator's National Conference, Pennsylvania Music Educator's Association, Pi Kappa Lambda, Pi Lambda Theta, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. For complete Resume', download from the bar on your left.

Mr. Gumble currently resides in Quakertown, PA. He enjoys watching movies and sports in order to relax (although he rarely relaxes while watching the Phillies, Eagles, or Flyers ;) His true passion is music education and he lives to heighten student awareness of music's important role in the enrichment of the human spirit.
